Longest Night of the Year

winter solstice

Today marks the first day of the winter season. Astronomically speaking, the winter solstice is when the sun is furthest from the Northern hemisphere making today the shortest day and longest night. Here is to three months of keeping ourselves warm, new wishes, and scurrying across snowy streets.
