Charity Navigator

I’m really happy at how many people appreciated the information from NYC (and more) Service Opportunities. It’s a wonderful feeling to give back and help others; especially in the city you grew up in. I tried to include other large volunteer websites in the major cities Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, and Philadelphia so everyone can feel included. But because of how limited that actually was, I found a website called Charity Navigator that allows you to do research on charity organizations.

Although this may not exactly help with those who are interested in volunteering their time, it’s a great tool for donating. It helps to validate the work that organizations do and gives you credible information as to what they have done before your consideration. Furthermore, volunteering and service opportunities are considered more at this time of year, but don’t forget it can be a year-round effort.

Namaskar.
